The BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022 is all set to take place from 19^th to 28^th August, featuring a total prize pool of $177,500 USD (INR 1,41,60,205) with 12 CS:GO teams set to compete in this top-tier LAN tournament taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark.

This tournament will mark the beginning of the second phase of the BLAST Premier competitive circuit with two teams, NAVI and FaZe Clan, already having qualified for the BLAST Premier: World Final 2022, scheduled to take place in December later this year.

BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022: Everything you need to know

The month-long player break which started after the conclusion of IEM Cologne 2022 is coming to an end shortly. During this time a lot of teams have undergone roster changes to better prepare themselves for the remainder of the season.

Having replenished their batteries and ready to compete once again, players are all set for the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022 which marks the beginning of the second half of the competitive circuit.

Teams

A total of 12 teams have been handed direct invites to participate in this tournament as they are all partner teams in this circuit.

These teams have been divided into three groups of four teams each for the first stage of the event. Their placement shall decide the starting position for the second stage of the tournament.

Format

BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022 has been divided into three stages - the group stage, followed by the gauntlet stage, and finally the last chance stage.

• The group stage of the tournament will witness all the 12 teams being divided into three groups of four teams each. All of them will be following a double-elimination format where every match will be a single-game series.

• All the teams will move on to the gauntlet stage, but the placement will depend upon their performance in the initial stage. The bottom two teams from each group will start from the quarterfinals, the runners-up will start from the semifinals, and the top placed teams will directly qualify for the finals.

• Here the teams will be following a single-elimination bracket with each match featuring a best-of-three series. The top three teams will directly qualify for the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, while the bottom three teams will move on to the BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2022. The remaining six teams will move on to the final stage of the tournament.

• The six remaining teams will once again follow a single-elimination bracket with a best-of-three series, the three winners advancing to the Fall Finals and the three losers making it through to the Fall Showdown.

Prize Pool Split

The total prize pool of $177,500 USD will be split between all the 12 teams competing in the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022, depending on their placement at the tournament.

Apart from this, the top six teams will directly qualify for the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022 while the remaining six teams will move on to the BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2022.

Further, all the 12 teams will also be receiving some BLAST Premier (BP) points depending on their performance.
