In his statement daps states that another chapter of his life has come to an end as he departs Gen.G, he admits that though they were not an insane team reaching a peak of 12th rank on the HLTV global rankings made him happy.
While pointing out the reasons that made him take the decision to leave the team daps states the following,
Having given his reasons daps believes that his decision would benefit both the parties involved and that Gen.G would do better “If they can find an IGL that has faith in the project that I once had.”
Thanking everyone daps said that he still loves Counter-Strike and would love to IGL a team that he feels is the right fit for him, but if this does not work out he says that “I will cross the bridge when I know more.”
Gen.G Esports is currently playing in the ESL Pro League Season 12 - North America and will continue to do so with the same roster. Though daps has been benched he will be leaving Gen.G only after the event.
