North American esports organization XSET has signed an all-female CS:GO team from Europe as they step into the world of competitive Counter-Strike with an aim to become the CS:GO team in the world. The championship-winning squad is considered to be the best female CS:GO team at the moment as they have won nearly all the major female tournaments this year.

XSET Signs Worlds Strongest Female CS:GO Roster

XSET has signed the European roster of Team Originem consisting of some of the best female CS:GO players in the world. The former Besiktas Esports lineup had assembled at the start of 2020 and have since then gone on to win Ambush Female Invitational, Galaxy Racer Female Invitational, and the most prestigious female CS:GO tournament of the year DreamHack Showdown Summer 2020: Europe.

The roster consists of the following players,

  • Zainab "zAAz" Turkie
  • Michaela "mimi" Lintrup
  • Petra "Petra" Stoker
  • Julia "juliano" Kiran
  • Anastasia "kr4sy" Khlobystina

The team has been signed by XSET with an aim to be the best in the world by competing at the very top of CS:GO. The players have expressed a united desire to excel and prove themselves as they feel that female gamers are looked down upon, having themselves experienced how decent teams turn down practice games with them just because they are females.

Veteran CS:GO player Petra in a statement given to Dexerto said that “One of the biggest steps everyone is dreaming of is competing against males in tournaments. We have to work really hard to get there though.”

The team’s ultimate goal under the XSET banner is to compete against more male Counter-Strike teams as they sensibly acknowledge the fact that they might still not be able to beat the ‘Tier-1’ CS:GO teams but can definitely go up against the ‘Tier-2’ and ‘Tier-3’ teams.

They have actually competed against male opponents once last year at the DreamHack Open Rotterdam 2019 under the Besiktas Esports banner where they placed 7th-8th following consecutive defeats from AVANGAR and Hard Legion.

It will be interesting to see how well this European team does as they continue to compete in female tournaments while also going up against some male CS:GO teams in a bid to climb up the ladder and compete against some of the best teams in the world.

They will be seen in action under the XSET banner at the upcoming DreamHack Open December 2020 for which they qualified after winning DreamHack Showdown Summer earlier this year followed by DreamHack Showdown Winter 2020: Europe for which they have been directly invited.
